About Little Rann of Kutch Birding
Incredible bird sightings take place in the Little Rann of Kutch situated in the Kutch district of Gujarat State. It lies adjacent to the Greater Rann of Kutch and is characterized by marshy salt plains that yield commercial salt. The avians seen are:
Crested Lark, Lesser Flamingo, Greater Flamingo, Houbara Bustard, Lesser Florican, MacQueen’s Bustard, Black Stork, White Stork, Black Necked Stork, Common Crane, Demoiselle Crane, McQueen s’s Bustard, Gargeny, Mallard, Ferruginous Duck, Northern Shoveller, Common Quail, Bar Headed and Gray Lag Goose, Common and Ruddy Shelduck, Sociable Lapwing, Long Billed Pipit, Indian Courser, Dalmatian and Great White Pelicans, Indian Bustard, Greater Hoopoe Lark, Greater Spotted Eagle, Steppe Eagle, Marble Teal, Common Pochard, Imperial Eagle, Cream Colored Bustard, White-tailed Lapwing, Pale-backed Pigeon, Painted Sandgrouse, European, and Sykes’s Nightjar, Spotted Crake, Ballion’s Crake, and Peregrine Falcon, and many more. The salt lake’s habitat is also home to the Wild Ass among many other wild animals found in the Rann.
Standard Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Ahmedabad – Travel to Dasada – Evening Birding Session
Welcome to Ahmedabad! The tour starts with your arrival in the city, where our team will meet and greet you. We will then embark on a 95 km drive to Dasada Village, where we will check-in at a luxury resort. After a delightful lunch, we will proceed with an introductory session, followed by an intense birding session until evening. We will then head back to the resort for a delicious dinner and a good night’s sleep.

Day 2: Morning Birding Session – Evening Birding Session
Get ready for another exciting day of birding at Little Rann of Kutch! We will start with a morning birding session, followed by a hearty breakfast. We will then continue birding throughout the day, with a break for lunch and high tea. We will also take this opportunity to capture some beautiful bird photographs, as well as to share some light-hearted conversations with fellow bird enthusiasts. In the evening, we will return to the resort for dinner and a restful sleep.

Day 3: Morning Birding Session – Check out from Resort – Return Journey
On the last day of the trip, we will have our final morning birding session before checking out of the resort. After a scrumptious breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye to this beautiful birding paradise and begin our return journey to Ahmedabad.
